Cuomo — My Kind of Guy
So, who’s with me on this? This guy is who you want to have on the team during a crisis. Narcissism abounding, he reminds of myself when I was younger. He doesn’t give a crap what people think about his personality, he just gets the job done. However, he does this with enough self-realization to buffer his (assumed by me) normal brashness, to aptly perform as a public servant. Love this guy!
I offer two definitions for the words FACT and SCIENCE, because we seem to have lost sight of what they mean.

o used in discussing the significance of something that is the case.
noun: the fact that — “the real problem facing them is the fact that their funds are being cut”
The Tool currently running the country does not understand the meaning of the word, FACT. Here’s another word he grapples with:

Governor Cuomo gets it and what is more important, he uses those two words to extrapolate the correct actions to take for his state’s survival. If only he were running the country right now.
In the olden days (referring to the time before Trumpism), people understood the difference between fact and fiction. They would call out a lie and demand public truth. Not anymore it would seem. Either by pure ignorance, apathy or Trump’s brainwashing of the weak-minded, we have allowed alternate realities to be created and more disturbingly, accepted. I am talking in real time, right before our eyes. Geeeez. (Technical term)
9/11 bumped George Bush’s approval ratings to skyrocket to the 80% range. I think we see future leaders emerge to rebuild America, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Cuomo is certainly emerging as one. He is taking the bull by the horns and doing whatever is necessary. Inslee of Washington state is another. I am not Republican, but I applaud my own State’s Republican Governor, who read the signs early and took immediate action, taking flak from his own party for the decisions. Right is right and wrong is wrong.
Political divisiveness is a reality. Ignorance and rationalization of what we believe is a reality. Those things will probably never change. But, the realization of the need to put them aside, for the greater good is happening. It doesn’t matter what the left or right think about things right now. All of humanity is under siege. It will take collaboration, bravery, and all personality types to go against the grain and get things done for survival. All kinds of people, from all walks of life, occupations and capabilities, are going to emerge as heroes when all is said and done.
I applaud everyone that puts their differences aside and comes together for the greater good. Right now, for me, it’s Cuomo. I don’t live in New York. I am just attuned to people that make a positive difference. Carry on, sir!
